Popular Mobile Game Invades Fashion

It appears that the worldwide famous mobile game Angry Birds has jumped from your mobile phone to your elegant dress wear. The popular game has been seen on many clothing products like t-shirts and other accessories, but now it's also on dresses. Teija Vesterbacka, is the wife of Peter Vesterbacka who runs the company that created the popular Angry Bird game. At a regal event at the Finish Presidential Palace to celebrate Finland's Independence, Teija wore a dress that depicted the popular Angry Bird character. The dress was red with the bird's face over the upper right portion of the dress. Unfortunately for Teija, many fashion critics blasted her for wearing that dress calling it hideous among other negative names. However, there was a small group of fashion critics that actually found the dress enjoyable and said it was a great sighting for the company and the brand image.

Angry Birds first debuted in December 2009. The few versions of the game have been downloaded over 500 million times over the last two years, placing near the top of the most popular applications on any mobile device. Other impressive numbers for the game: users have played over 266 billion levels, shot over 400 billion birds and collected over 44 billion stars. All of these numbers equates to over 300 million minutes played each day by the millions of users.

Teija's dress might have been hideous to some, but the game is a goldmine to others. Her bravery in wearing the dress has created a buzz that has helped the game trend via various social media outlets.
