Campbell Dunn In M&S link Up
Young and aspiring fashion designer Campbell Dunn has extended his link with Marks and Spencer’s menswear department for a further 3 months, until the end of the year.
The 23 year old won the Scottish Fashion Awards Graduate of the Year award early on in 2011 and got the opportunity to work with the retail giant for 3 months in order to aid his design experience and gain some valuable insight into the modern fashion industry. However, Marks & Spencer bosses were so impressed with the young Scot that they have elected to keep him with the company until the end of the current year to further boost his experience and their own menswear department.
Dunn, who hails from Edinburgh, spoke of his delight at the news as admitted that it has always been his dream to become a full time menswear designer. He only graduated from Huddersfield University a few months ago, before winning the Scottish Fashion Awards Graduate of the Year award and has came on leaps and bounds in the subsequent months.
The founder of the Scottish Fashion Awards Graduate of the Year award, which has been going for 6 years now, Tessa Hartmann didn’t seem at all surprised that Dunn was offered the chance to extend his stay with one of Britain’s most popular and established fashion retailers. She expressed her belief that he was very much a fashion star in the making and that his design portfolio and menswear ideas were among the best that she has ever seen.
